In Protest of Poorly Engineered Roads

The other night there was some type of protest in the circle near our apartment.  A dozen LARGE trucks (18 wheelers) entered the two (and a half) lane circle and began slowly making their way around, honking out songs on their horns and blocking traffic at will.  The drivers were protesting because they, with their wide and long 18-wheelers, have to share the poorly planned roads with the selfish drivers.  To highlight the difficulties of driving through the city – on what should be fast moving major roads – the trucks go through the circle and block the same spots that the high-end shoppers usually block, giving them all a taste of their own medicine.  This obviously upsets the shoppers and the shop keepers to the point which they a.) Complain to the local officials about the poor engineering of the roads or b.) Become more aware of their selfish driving habits and the headaches they give to fellow drivers every night.  After about an hour, police showed up and escorted each of the trucks out.
This is kind of like a Dan Brown novel, because only about 25% of what I just wrote is true.  The point is that, from 6 stories above, the hilarity of the situation was too much to pass up.
